Picture a system in which policies and procedures are referred to on an ongoing basis, not one where they are nonexistent or filed in a binder somewhere gathering dust—a system where there is an ongoing improvement process and the documents actually guide day-to-day operations. Can you imagine this?
If your company is not operating this way, then why not? Do policies and procedures even exist? Are they out-of-date, or do they lack detail, clarity or follow-thru? Regardless of the answers, Crane Tech’s professionals know and understand the intricacies of the material handling industry and can help you develop new policies and procedures or review current documentation. Our deep industry knowledge ensures your policies and procedures address exact operational needs and add value to meet safety and regulatory requirements, while maintaining the reliability of your workforce and equipment.
It is our goal to work with clients to build a continuing circle of self improvement, not a plan that starts and stops on a whim or is only reviewed when concerns need to be addressed. Crane Tech believes that consistent monitoring of people, process and equipment will lead to increased reliability and production while reducing risk and costs.
Did you know that Crane Tech practices what we teach? One of the ways we do this is to perform a Job Safety Analysis (JSA) before any hands-on training. We believe that JSA’s not only help to ensure that we are working and training as safely as possible, it also creates additional teaching moments so that our clients can remain safe even after we have completed training. Beyond that, Crane Tech instructors can use the JSA to share information and lessons learned with other Crane Tech personnel so that we collectively benefit. Our approach to JSA’s is just another example of our guiding principle of Safety through Education in action. For more on our JSA policy check out our Hooked On Crane Tech Blog.
